READ OUR FAQS

How do I sign up and how much does it cost?

You need to first take out a general membership to the club.  This costs £15 per year.  Once you have become a member then you will be added to our membership pool and you will be able to sign up for training blocks.  Blocks vary in length but are usually 8- 12 weeks in length.  There is a limited number of participants and spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis.

Once I have a membership how can I sign up for training blocks and how much do they cost?

We organise our blocks using an app called Spond.  You will need to download this app. When a block is released you will be notified and will have the opportunity to sign up and pay for the block.  Blocks are usually 8-14 weeks long. You need to pay for the whole block and there are no refunds for sessions you don't attend as we pay for the pitch in block bookings. The cost works out at around £6 per session.

What ages can play?

You must be 16+ .  Apart from that every woman is welcome, no matter your skill level.

When are training sessions held?

Training takes place on Wednesday evenings in Stepney E1.

Do I need my own gear?

Trainers, astro boots or plastic moulds are all acceptable footwear. Please bring shin pads, and a water bottle.

What does low-contact football mean?

Our women’s social football sessions are designed to be friendly, inclusive and low-contact. Football is still a physical sport, so incidental contact can happen, but we ask everyone to play with control and respect for those around them.

There should be no aggressive challenges, slide tackles, deliberate fouls, pushing, kicking or intimidating physical play. The focus is on having fun, getting active, learning and playing together,  not winning at all costs.  We want everyone, whatever their football experience or ability, to feel safe, comfortable and welcome on the pitch.

Can I volunteer or help out?

Absolutely! We’re always looking for coaches and organisers.

How are the sessions structured?

The pitch is available from 6pm.  The session starts at 630pm and runs until 8pm.  The first 45 minutes are fitness and skills.  The second 45 minutes are matches.
